Pandemic blues? Is the answer in a bottle?

It may seem like a good idea, quick fix in fact, but we know how small beginnings can escalate a downward path of habitual alcohol consumption, when, for some, it becomes an addiction,  difficult to shake off, not to mention the related physical deterioration i.e. disease to the liver, heart, stroke and cancer.

Prolonged drinking, particularly beyond the recommended limits, does have the effect of changing personality and cognitive thought patterns.

There are many reasons for the excessive alcohol abuse and everyone reacts differently. However, prolonged drinking, particularly beyond the recommended limits, does have the effect of changing personality and cognitive thought patterns, which may become uncharacteristically aggressive or abusive as well as disrupting sleep patterns.

“Over the years I have been able to help many sufferers change their habit and conquer the dependency through counselling and hypnotherapy treatments and, as a result, been able to change the nature of relationships on to a happier footing.”

Often, in the past, (the “old normal” days of clubbing), alcohol has gone hand to mouth with drugs such as cannabis and cocaine and I have seen clients able to withdraw from both habits successfully through a programme of hypnotherapy to stop the habits quickly, while counselling sessions have enabled the recoveree to sustain abstinence. Treatment is only a phone call or email away when the urge once again may beckon, triggered by some unforeseen difficulty, anxiety or emotional issue.

Pandemic blues? Is the answer in a bottle?

“I stopped substances dominating my life; I have taken back control.”

The decision to “stop” these habits is part of the way along the path to recovery and the privacy of hypnotherapy treatment will facilitate it. Rather than anaesthetising inner wisdom, through the use of alcohol and drugs, embrace life with renewed resolve and the joy you can experience; the pride you will feel when you can say “I stopped substances dominating my life; I have taken back control.” Further reading… there have been numerous clinical research studies conducted with conflicting results across the globe from USA, UK, Australia and Netherlands.  See my published article on the website….
