Loss and Bereavement

It can be hard to understand why someone who is special to us has to leave. It can be so distressing to realize that a very special and important part of our life is over and that there is no way back. We may feel that we have lost a part of ourselves.

To grieve for our loved one is only right and natural. The anxiety of losing someone special is a very anxious and stressful time and friends and family may well feel that by the end of a few months we should have “got over it”. This is, unfortunately, not the reality and our grief can live with us for a very long time; it is “how do we cope?”

However, you can learn to come to terms with your grief and try to understand your feelings through effective counseling and hypnotherapy, so that the memories become less painful and more comforting as time passes. The power of loving remembrance will replace the grief. You then feel more able to get on with life without that special person, but are nurtured by the special memories.

Separation

Emotions associated with separation occur whenever your lifestyle changes significantly and some of these separation reactions are :

  • Divorce or separation from family
  • Job loss
  • Loss of dream
  • Moving to a new location
  • Completion of a project
  • Loss of mobility or health
  • Loss of a precious object
  • Rejection

Separation can manifest in depressed, fearful or angry thoughts and there can be possible physical symptoms such as insomnia; fatigue; changes in eating patterns; throat, chest and stomach constrictions; anxiety attacks.

Allow Hypnotherapy to release you from these feelings in a safe and comforting environment.
