Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counsellor and Psychotherapist

As a university senior lecturer, I became increasingly interested in exploring psychology through teaching the application of theorists in psychoanalysis and behaviorism within a business environment.

I am a Member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society as well as  a senior hypnotherapist of the General Hypnotherapy Register.

I am also a registered Supervisor and able to support other hypnotherapists in their work, having been running the South London Hypnotherapy support group for many years. I am a member of the Association of Integrative Health and Medicine in San Diego, California, which establishes co-operation between medical and holistic therapists to assist further understanding of the link between mental and physical health issues.

I have a special interest in alcohol dependency and trained as an Alcohol Control Therapist. I have attended many courses dealing with a variety of issues such as phobia, pain management, weight management, smoking cessation, whether it be tobacco or other addictive substances.

Anxiety, stress, and depression are key areas related to other issues and I endeavour to help in understanding human behaviour. Hypnotherapy is a wonderfully powerful healing tool through meditative relaxation techniques that help in the relief of stresses and tensions of everyday life. Depression, traumas, habits and phobias can be manifested from these stresses. I work with clients using counselling and hypnotherapy to build meaningful and interactive relationships through the development of positive outlooks and approaches to life’s experiences.

For the past 13 years I have followed a keen interest in Ancient Egypt regularly visiting tombs and temples in Egypt to gain further insight into its religion and literary teachings. As an Egyptologist I am researching how these might inform better understanding of society today, therefore understanding the past to inform the future.
